P&D Driver

About the role

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally. You will be the face of Southeastern Freight Lines, serving our customers on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor-trailer in various conditions and handle vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment.
• Conduct vehicle inspections.
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of transport documents, especially when handling hazardous materials.
• Perform skilled maneuvering in challenging environments like heavy traffic and tight spaces.
• Report any incidents or delays.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
• Focus on excellent customer service and professionalism.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months driving experience (1 year preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers, with no automatic restrictions.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple mathematical calculations; handle receipts; read maps and road signs; maintain driving logs.
• Detailed knowledge of and compliance with all DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Meet DOT physical qualifications and pass alcohol and drug tests.

Pay

$94,731‑$103,332 annually (average annual pay may vary based on experience, hours, and location)
