P&D Driver

About the role

You pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally as a P&D Driver for Southeastern Freight Lines. You will serve our customers regularly and conduct vehicle inspections, manage cargo loading and unloading, and ensure transport document accuracy, especially for hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections
• Manage the loading and unloading of cargo
• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of transport documents, especially for hazardous materials
• Handle vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment
• Report any incidents or delays and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
• Focus on excellent customer service and professionalism

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 months driving experience, with 1 year preferred
• A High School Diploma or GED
• A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers
• At least 21 years old
• The ability to read, comprehend, and write in English, perform simple mathematical calculations, handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain driving logs
• Detailed knowledge of and compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and the transportation of hazardous materials
• Meeting DOT physical qualifications and passing alcohol and drug tests

Pay

$94,731-$103,332 Annually (Average annual pay may vary based on experience, hours, and location)
