P-6 Music & Performing Arts Teacher
Role Description/Criteria
The Music & Performing Arts Teacher (P–6) position is part-time, commencing Semester 2, 2026, with potential for ongoing employment in 2027. Additional hours may be available for directing the School Production.
About the role
This position inspires students across Prep to Year 6 through rich and engaging visual arts experiences that nurture imagination, skill, and self-expression. The role is 0.66 FTE, working Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday full days and Friday 9:00 AM–11:00 AM (planning, may be completed offsite).

- Inspire confidence, creativity, and a love of performance in young learners.
- Demonstrate excellence in curriculum planning and delivery in line with the Victorian Curriculum.

- Actively support the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
- A sound understanding of effective teaching and learning practices within Music and Performing Arts.
- Experience directing or coordinating student performances, concerts, productions, or liturgical celebrations.
- Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
