About the Role
This position reports directly to the Oxygen Delivery Manager and involves delivering home medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies to patients/clients while ensuring compliance with DOT and FDA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver equipment and supplies from inventory as prescribed on patient/client delivery tickets.
- Ensure proper segregation of clean and dirty equipment in the delivery vehicle.
- Load equipment, oxygen systems, and related supplies into the vehicle.
- Determine or obtain the best daily route and drive delivery vehicles to patients/clients in a timely manner.
- Complete route sheets accurately and return them promptly.
- Provide patient/client orientation on the proper use, maintenance, and safety of equipment.
- Act as a company field representative to solve patient/client problems.
- Return and unload rental equipment, ensuring proper segregation of clean and dirty items.
- Complete delivery and pick-up paperwork, including route sheets, manifests, and patient/client documentation.
- Assist in cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repair of rental equipment within the scope of training.
- Request additional stock for inventory and assist in inventory counts as needed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear the proper company uniform.
- Assist in tracking down paperwork, signatures, and charts to complete orders.
- Promote teamwork, including assisting respiratory therapists and patient care coordinators as needed.
- Take "on-call" time on an agreed-upon basis.
- Perform office maintenance tasks as required.
- Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients/clients.
- Market the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Assume other duties within the scope of training as assigned by the Respiratory Operations Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma preferred.
- 1-3 years of EMT and/or Medical Delivery Driver experience preferred.

Physical Demands
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment
This role requires entering patient homes and hospitals for the setup and servicing of medical devices.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
