Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the owner’s advocate in all phases of project development and execution.
- Manage multiple critical infrastructure projects simultaneously from order receipt through closeout.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the CI Manager to complete thorough job handovers, including review of bid documents, scope documents, contracts, estimates, schedule of values, drawings, vendor quotes, and key contacts.
- Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to support efficient site execution.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all work is executed in accordance with company safety policies, applicable codes, and customer site requirements.
- Produce Method of Procedure (MOP) documents and coordinate customer approval prior to work execution.
- Review design documents, construction plans, and technical specifications to ensure adherence to owner’s requirements.
- Coverage of testing, startup, commissioning, and documentation as required by the project scope.
- Identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing critical infrastructure and power systems.
- Address quality issues or punch items promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
Financial & Job Cost Control
- Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets and schedules.
- Review the project budget (original estimate) and ensure job setup in accordance with company standards, including phase codes.
- Track project costs, labor hours, and productivity against budget.
- Forecast project costs to completion and identify risks or margin impacts early.
- Ensure timely and accurate progress billing based on milestone achievement (SOVs) and final billing upon project completion.
- Manage change orders for scope adjustments, unforeseen site conditions, or customer-requested changes.
- Support WIP reporting and internal financial reviews as required.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Customer & Vendor Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact between owners, contractors, engineers, and government agencies.
- Facilitate communication, resolve conflicts, and ensure transparency across all project stakeholders.
- Provide clear, proactive communication regarding schedules, site readiness, and execution plans.
- Manage customer expectations in active facilities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Deliver a professional, service-oriented experience that supports repeat business.
Materials, Vendors & Subcontractors
- Ensure submittals are approved by the engineer of record and/or customer prior to procuring equipment.
- Cookordination procurement and delivery of equipment, parts, and materials.
- Cookordination procurement of subcontractor scopes of work; execute subcontract agreements that clearly define scope and flow down key customer contract terms.
- Manage subcontractors during execution to ensure timely completion of contracted scope.
- Ensure materials and equipment are staged and available to support efficient site work.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, coordinators, and technical specialists.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Closeout & Documentation
- Ensure completion of all project scope, testing, and commissioning requirements.
- Cookordinate delivery of closeout documentation, warranties, and service records.
- Confirm customer acceptance and support final billing and project closeout.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in critical infrastructure project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- 3+ years of experience leading field crews as a crew lead, foreman, or project manager
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, batteries, rectifiers, inverters, and cooling systems
- Experience working in Telecom/Broadband Headend and Hub facilities
- Experience with -48VDC and +24VDC systems and installation procedures
- Experience or knowledge of Cable/Telecom industry GR 1275 installation standards
- Familiarity with FAC-COR certification and federal acquisition regulations
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) highly desirable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- CAD drawing experience is a plus

Additional Information
- Criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and a valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required
- This role involves extensive travel to various job sites, up to 100%. Candidates must have the ability to drive long distances, and overnight stays may be necessary based on project location
- Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines. Candidates should be flexible with work hours and prepared for extended workdays
