Owner's Authorized Representative (OAR I) - K-12 School Construction ($10M+)

About the role

The Work LAUSD's Project Execution group delivers one of the largest public school construction programs in the country, under the oversight of the Division of the State Architect (DSA). As Owner's Authorized Representative I, you represent the District on assigned school projects and manage each one through preconstruction, bid and award, construction, and closeout. You manage the project budget and schedule to the District's standards and review the budget monthly to reflect real status. You manage the contractor's daily activities, review construction schedules and submittals, coordinate responses to requests for clarification, review substitution requests, and negotiate change order proposals to a fair and reasonable price. You coordinate with public agencies on off-site work, with the design team, and with District and project staff. You administer the District's agreements with architects, monitor payments to contractors and consultants, coordinate delivery of furniture, fixtures, and equipment, and see each project through DSA certification and financial closeout, reporting status and progress to upper management along the way.
