Responsibilities
- Identify key customers and develop specific action plans to grow identified accounts.
- Identify potential opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Collect project data and compare to the office's capabilities.
- Convert leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required project team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process.
- Gather and validate preliminary information and perform facility walk-throughs, construction plan reviews, or other requirements.
- Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer's HVAC system design and installation requirements.
- Develop, evaluate, and discuss possible solutions with customers.
- Develop a preliminary project fulfillment schedule.
- Responsible for project take-off, selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services.
- Prepare and review the proposal, validate it with the customer, determine the proposal price and selling strategy, and review and compare contract terms and conditions with Havtech standards.
- Present the proposal and negotiate price, terms, and conditions with the customer.
- Follow up with buying influences and prepare transition documents to communicate project readiness for assignment to the operations team.
- Resolve major deviations from scope with the team after Project Scope Validation.
- Develop and execute an account-specific business plan to identify long-term mutual support requirements.
- Provide total account business activity reports and annual forecasts.
- Assemble, coordinate, and interact with the sales team as needed for customer penetration and project acquisition.
- Coordinate with Owners in writing project specifications.
- Coordinate with Estimators in interpreting specifications and preparing proposals.
- Supervise the project team as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction, or Engineering Technology, or other related fields.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed presentation skills.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the HVAC industry.
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time.
- Ability to function independently and deliver results.
