Overnight Warehouse Operations Manager

About the role

This position manages daily operations of a distribution center, including labor management, shipping, receiving, and facility maintenance. It collaborates with management to improve processes, facilities, and equipment, ensuring efficient and timely distribution of goods across various channels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including staffing, training, and performance management.
• Analyze operational reports to meet productivity, budget, and KPI goals.
• Develop improvement plans and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain customer relationships and support delivery schedule adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and sanitation standards.
• Work with maintenance and safety teams to uphold a safe work environment.
• Manage department budgets and monitor operational expenses.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• At least five years of distribution center experience, with two years in supervisory roles.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Leadership ability with hands‑on management style.
• Analytical, decision‑making, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Must be able to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, standing, walking, and operating in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and noise levels.
• Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
