Description Job Summary: NEFCO is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Overnight Warehouse Lead/Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the routing and scheduling of our delivery fleet. This role is essential in ensuring timely, safe, and efficient deliveries while maintaining full compliance with fleet safety and reporting requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment. Job Duties Ensure orders and inter-branch transfers are picked, checked and packed and loaded per company guidelines and proceduresEnsure accuracy/integrity of orders (correct material/quantity and acceptable quality/delivery)Work with Inbound/Inventory Manager to control inventory and work with staff to minimize material ‘can’t finds’ and errorsEnsure all parcel package shipments are processed for customer deliveryProvide motivating work environment for staff with high levels of performance and standards being the normCommunicate policies to ensure compliance and consistently administer corrective action as necessaryFoster communication and teamwork among staff to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.Accepts responsibility for company projects that may be indirectly related to his/her area of responsibilityWorks with distribution center team members in order to ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and processing areasEnsure that safe work practices are followed, maintaining an overall safe work environment Plan and execute daily delivery routes for the fleet, optimizing for efficiency and on-time performanceDispatch drivers and provide instructions for deliveries, pickups, and any last-minute route changesMonitor real-time fleet activity using tracking systems to ensure timely delivery commitments are metEnsure all drivers complete DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) at the start and end of each shiftMaintain and update driver logs, delivery schedules, route reports, and other administrative recordsSchedule routine maintenance and service appointments for trucks to ensure DOT compliance and minimize downtimeRespond promptly to driver issues, traffic delays, equipment problems, or customer inquiries overnightCoordinate with operations and customer service teams to communicate delivery updates or changesAssist in reporting and documenting any incidents, accidents, or safety concerns occurring during the shiftUphold NEFCO’s standards for safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction Details Monday – Friday (occasional Saturday) Requirements Qualifications: Must have a track record of being a results-oriented person who has worked in industrial warehousing/distribution operations for 2+ yearsMust be effective communicator up, down and across the organization1+ year of experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or fleet operations preferredWorking knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle inspection requirements (DVIR)Proficient in dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office SuiteHigh school diploma (or equivalent); college degree preferredAbility to use NEFCO’s ERP software systemAbility to use warehouse layouts for planning purposesBasic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plusBasic computer skillsMust have a positive, hard-working attitudeAbility to establish priorities, work independently and little supervisionAbility to multitaskExcellent communication skillsAbility to stands on concrete floor for long periods of timeMust be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of timeAbility to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for liftingAbility to safely lift up to 50+ lbs.Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documentsAnalytical ability including basic math skillsAbility to operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts) and be recertifiedMust be detail-oriented and hands on ‘roll up the sleeves’ type with aptitude for multi-tasking and adapting to a fast-paced environment with ever changing prioritiesMust have effective interpersonal skills with ability to direct, coach, support and delegate to associates
