About the role
The Guest Service Associate provides exceptional hospitality services, parks and retrieves guest vehicles safely, assists with luggage, and supports guest needs with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional interactions with guests, co-workers, and clients; greets guests within five feet using their last names and a salutation of the day (25% of time).
- Practices proper phone etiquette and remains visible in designated areas when not completing tasks (10% of time).
- Parks and retrieves vehicles cautiously, assists with bell services and luggage, and opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests (20% of time).
- Provides directions, local information, and guest amenities; shuttles guests to approved locations (10% of time).
- Explains parking rates and procedures, issues and collects claim checks, records vehicle information (location, damage, key tags), and processes payments (35% of time).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance.
- One month of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English; perform basic arithmetic with American currency; understand 24-hour/military time and time-based rates.
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Parallel parking skills; ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Majority of work performed outdoors for extended periods, including entire shifts, in varying weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
- Regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, run, handle objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Lifting requirements: up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
- Travel of up to 5% may be required.
Pay
Hourly base pay: $16–$17 per hour plus $20–$22 per hour in tips.
Schedule
Overnight shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
