Overnight Supervisor

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Management team, the Overnight Supervisor provides daily direction to the Outfitters on the overnight shift within the retail store. This includes overseeing sales floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management, and price change execution.

Responsibilities

• Delegates tasks and work assignments to team members, providing clear and concise direction and follow-up to ensure proper execution.
• Ensures adherence to all standard operating procedures and processes, providing training and guidance when needed.
• Maintains visual presentation standards, including in-store signage, merchandise directives, planograms, and daily recovery to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
• Ensures nightly replenishment of the sales floor from backstock inventory, Distribution Centers, and direct vendor deliveries.
• Supports inventory management by completing on-demand counts, empty peg scanning, pick requests, and display integrities during off-peak hours.
• Assists with coordination of "Special Events," pricing and UPC integrity, assortment determination, inventory accuracy, and proper display of advertised items.
• Supports Supervisory responsibilities, including training, planning, assigning work, evaluating performance, and maintaining a positive work environment.
• Assists in staffing the department with service-oriented associates, participating in interviewing, training, performance appraisals, and scheduling.
• Ensures all breaks and lunches are provided for overnight Outfitters in accordance with provincial and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Years of Experience: 2-4 years of Retail Experience
• Availability to work overnight shifts

Skills

• Ability to read and analyze reports
• Effective communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and inventory management systems
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Physical Requirements

• Regularly walks, stands, and works on a computer
• Occasionally sits and lifts up to 50 lbs
