Overnight Security Officer
What You'll Do
- Patrol hotel grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members
- Monitor surveillance systems and access points to proactively identify and address potential concerns
- Enforce hotel policies while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and guest comfort
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, and guest requests with calm, sound judgment
- Document accidents, safety hazards, and security-related incidents accurately and thoroughly
- Deliver excellent customer service by assisting guests and supporting hotel operations as needed
- Investigate suspicious activity and prevent unauthorized access to hotel property
- Work collaboratively with local authorities and internal teams on security-related matters
- Conduct routine security checks and maintain detailed records and reports
Qualifications
- Prior security experience preferred, ideally within a hospitality or service-oriented environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of incident response, safety procedures, and security protocols
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to complete accurate reports
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Training or experience in de-escalation, self-defense, or restraint techniques is preferred
- Consistently maintains a professional appearance, ethical conduct, and sound judgment
