Overnight Retail Operations Team Member

Nouria Energy Corporation is a multi‑generational family‑owned wholesale fuel distributor, convenience store operator, and car wash operator in New England. The company supplies branded and unbranded fuel to 300+ locations across New England and New York, operates 150+ company‑run convenience stores, and ranks among the top 10 largest car‑wash chains in the country.

About the role

The Sales Associate is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the station during their shift, adhering to company policy. The role contributes to store profitability and growth while ensuring every customer’s needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Communicate verbally and in writing with management about store operations, especially any changes that may affect operations.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift according to company guidelines.
• Provide the best customer experience to every customer.
• Greet every customer with a smile and sincere greeting.
• Suggest possible purchases and promote specials.
• Assume full responsibility for executing the customer service program at the site level.
• Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers.
• Enforce all environmental and hazardous‑material regulations.
• Maintain safety and security of the store and document any accidents or incidents.
• Manage the maintenance of the customer environment inside and around the store perimeter.
• Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support implementation of the Safety and Health program.
• Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
• Complete the new‑employee safety orientation procedure.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Qualifications

• Read, understand, and write English at an eighth‑grade level.
• Validate identification before selling tobacco and/or alcohol, as required by regulations.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and carry cases of milk cartons, soft drinks, beer, and juice using proper lifting techniques.
• Remain calm and follow policies and procedures during emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Work in various temperature environments (coolers, outdoors in varying weather, and inside the store).
• Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Maintain physical upkeep, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of all store facilities.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Traverse and access all areas of the store.
• Spend prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Spend prolonged periods standing.

Pay

Starting rate: $15.00 per hour.
