About the role

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with healthcare organizations to transport various medical supplies, specimens, and materials. We are seeking individuals who share our values of excellence, teamwork, and commitment to providing quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials in a company-owned vehicle.
  • Load and unload company vehicle with appropriate equipment.
  • Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items throughout the transportation cycle.
  • Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
  • Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
  • Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant industry/driving experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
  • Must have an active chauffeur's license or be willing to obtain one.
  • Must have an excellent driving history.
  • Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
  • Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination depending on location and local mandates.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and items off storage racks.
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Pay

$19/hr for hours worked on weekdays. For hours worked on the weekend and between 10pm-5a, a shift differential of +$1.00/hr applies, resulting in a pay rate of $20.00/hr.

Schedule

Flexibility is key here. You can choose from various schedules including Friday and Saturday shifts between 10pm-6am.
