At the Charmant Hotel, a restored 1898 candy factory, you’ll deliver boutique luxury with warm design, rooftop river views, and effortless hospitality in downtown La Crosse.

As the Facilities Technician I, you’ll ensure every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your role is key to maintaining properties free from safety hazards and in aesthetically pleasing condition. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future and continuously improve the guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Full focus on the aesthetics of a property or group of properties.
  • Grounds and parking lot clean-up.
  • Verify all lighting systems are operating properly.
  • Attention to detail on cleanliness of entrances of tenant suites/spaces.
  • Perform routine checks and sign-offs of fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights within the property(s).
  • Snow and ice removal as necessary.
  • Identify any potential safety hazards on a property or group of properties.
  • Maintain landscapes and hardscapes within the property(s).
  • Support other Maintenance Technicians when necessary.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the shop/working areas.
  • Driving is an essential function.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Overnight availability—hours can range between 10 PM–6 AM.
  • General knowledge in building and grounds maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, contractors, and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • U.S. work authorization (required).

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Degree from a two- or four-year college or university.
  • Experience with Yardi or equivalent software.

Pay

$18.00–$23.00/hour
