Overnight Dispatch Coordinator

Schedule

Full-time, onsite in Marianna, FL. Alternating schedule: 3-4 days on, 3-4 days off. Hours: 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the timely, safe, and efficient movement of customer product in compliance with company rules and DOT regulations.
• Assign workload to available drivers and monitor product movements to resolve delivery and scheduling issues.
• Use Ruan transportation management systems to capture all required operational data in near real-time.
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of all customer orders within the assigned area while maintaining customer expectations.
• Direct and schedule drivers’ work to maximize operational efficiency and equipment utilization.
• Notify drivers of work assignments to ensure on-time movement of goods.
• Regularly monitor driver activities and performance.
• Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling issues; escalate to management as appropriate.
• Maintain timely and professional communication with customer contacts regarding service and performance issues.
• Monitor drivers’ hours of service to prevent DOT violations.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with customers regarding issues impacting service expectations.
• Accurately prepare and process data and paperwork, including driver activities in computer systems, activity reports, trip documents, driver hours of service, fuel tickets, and other required items.
• Update driver and dispatch information in the dispatch system in real time.
• Monitor and promote safety in all areas of dispatch.
