About the role

Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and related equipment. Ensures compliance with all trucking regulations, maintains accurate documentation of repairs, and may provide road call services as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs, component inspections, and identify root causes of failures on fleet diesel equipment.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and ensure equipment is roadworthy with proper licensing and registration.
  • Complete detailed work orders using online management systems.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers, perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
  • Utilize hand and power tools, including pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks.
  • Train other employees and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5–7 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration (minimum 2 years).
  • Proficiency in PMs, tire and wheel service, brake systems, electronic diagnostics, and refrigeration.

Schedule

Work four days a week, Tuesday to Friday, 9:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
