Overnight Cleaner

About the role

The Overnight Cleaner position at Planet Fitness involves ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to provide an outstanding member experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Covering common areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa.
• Cleaning and sanitizing these areas according to Planet Fitness standards.
• Vacuuming floor surfaces and operating the floor scrubber machine.
• Maintaining trash cans and replenishing supplies.
• Communicating inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Cleaning and dusting items high off the ground.
• Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
• Operating washing machines and dryers.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment daily.

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities of the Overnight Cleaner include:

• Greeting members/guests as they enter and exit the club.
• Answering phones and assisting callers with inquiries.
• Executing retail transactions with accuracy and driving sales goals.
• Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager if necessary.
• Frequently performing a comprehensive walk of all club areas to address safety/policy issues and cleanliness concerns.

Requirements

• Ability to work the overnight shift.
• Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided).
• Basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Physical demands include continual standing, moving, lifting up to 75 pounds, and frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
