Overnight Cleaner

About the role

The Overnight Cleaner position at Planet Fitness involves ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to provide an outstanding member experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize common areas according to Planet Fitness standards.
• Vacuum floor surfaces and operate the floor scrubber machine according to schedule.
• Properly dispose of trash and maintain trash cans/cleaning centers.
• Replenish supplies and paper products as needed.
• Communicate inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Clean/dust items high off the ground (e.g., ceiling fans, TVs, rafters).
• Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
• Operate washing machine and dryer.
• Maintain cleaning equipment daily (e.g., cleaning mop buckets, emptying vacuum bags).

Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities of the Overnight Cleaner include:

• Greet members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assist with any questions or concerns.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with inquiries.
• Execute retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager if necessary.
• Frequently perform a comprehensive walk of all club areas; quickly fix any safety/policy issues and address cleanliness concerns.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Have the ability to work the overnight shift.
• Have cleaning and sanitizing experience (preferred).
• Be willing to become CPR/AED certified (training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Have basic computer proficiency.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the Overnight Cleaner role include:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Physical demands: continual standing, moving, communicating, lifting, and exposure to toxic chemicals.
