About the role

The Overnight Cleaner role at Planet Fitness involves ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to provide an outstanding member experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing a comprehensive walk-through of the club area and addressing any safety/policy issues or cleanliness concerns.

Responsibilities

As the Overnight Cleaner, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to ensure an outstanding member experience. Key responsibilities include:

• Covering common areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa.
• Cleaning and sanitizing these areas according to Planet Fitness standards.
• Vacuuming floor surfaces and operating the floor scrubber machine according to established schedule.
• Maintaining trash cans and replenishing supplies.
• Communicating inventory needs to the Club Manager.
• Cleaning/dusting items high off the ground (i.e., ceiling fans, TVs, rafters).
• Reporting any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
• Operating washing machine and dryer.
• Maintaining cleaning equipment (i.e., cleaning the mop bucket, emptying vacuum bags) daily.
• Greeting members/guests as they enter and exit the club; assisting them with any questions or concerns as they check in.
• Answering phones in a friendly manner and assisting callers with their inquiries.
• Executing retail transactions with accuracy and drive sales goals.
• Resolving member concerns and escalating to a Manager as needed.
• Frequently performing a comprehensive walk-through of the club areas; quickly fixing any safety/policy issues and addressing cleanliness concerns.

Qualifications

• Cleaning and sanitizing experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to become CPR/AED Certified (Training provided by Planet Fitness).
• Basic computer proficiency.
