Overnight Caregiver

About the role

Assisting Hands Home Care is looking for compassionate and dependable Overnight Caregivers to provide safety, comfort, and peace of mind to clients throughout the night. This position serves clients in the Northwest Suburbs, including Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Elk Grove Village, Des Plaines, and Park Ridge. Caregivers must be willing to travel and work throughout the service area based on client needs, availability, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Provide medication reminders
• Support mobility and daily routines
• Additional duties based on each client’s individual needs

Requirements

• Valid Social Security Card and Driver’s License or State ID
• Minimum of 1 year of home care, caregiving, or facility experience
• Availability to work overnight shifts (8:00 PM–8:00 AM or 9:00 PM–9:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with families and office staff
• A compassionate attitude and genuine desire to make a positive difference in someone’s life
