Over the Road Driver

Duties

• Safely maneuver tractor and trailer in urban and rural areas
• Work well with others in a team environment to complete work assignments
• Assist in loading and unloading freight to and from trailers (seldom)
• Complete timely and accurate paperwork per company processes including Driver paperwork, BOLs, Delivery receipts, manifests, DVIR’s, and other company required paperwork
• Perform Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections and paperwork as required by DOT and company policies
• Flexible in hours and times for work

Requirements

• Maintain a professional image with customers, peers, supervisors and public
• Show good organizational and communication skills
• Have reading, math, listening, speaking, and writing skills, and the ability to learn for problem-solving, decision-making, and team building
• Pass a DOT physical and background check
• Have a valid Class A CDL and a clean driving record
• Have two to five years experience, or be at least 21 years old

Working Conditions

• Inside and outside work in all types of weather and conditions
• Sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to and including 100 pounds, and exert 100 pounds of force regularly
