About the Role
The Manufacturing Certified Trainer is responsible for facilitating training on the production floor. They lead employee development initiatives through hands-on, audio, and visual training, and assist production when not managing new hires, cross-training, or re-training.
Responsibilities
- Manage and train new hires (maximum of 2) as well as current employees as needed on machines, processes, and procedures.
- Complete re-training as requested by the department.
- Choose appropriate training methods per case (virtual, simulated, mentoring, on-the-job training, etc.).
- Complete cross-training as requested by the department.
- Complete weekly training reports and assessments on trainees.
Requirements
- High School GED or equivalent (minimum education required).
- 1 year of experience in Operations for the specified department, manufacturing, or machinery (minimum experience required).
Qualifications
- Proven ability to complete the full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate).
- STAR Mentor Training (preferred).
