OUTSTANDING FELLOWSHIP TRAINED ORTHOPAEDIC TRAUMA SURGEON OPPORTUNITY

About the role

The Montefiore Einstein Health System, comprising over 12 hospitals and numerous outpatient facilities, is a prominent healthcare provider serving the Bronx and Hudson Valley regions. They are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and growth-oriented FELLOWSHIP TRAINED TRAUMA ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON to join their established trauma service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a team approach with three members, handling a high volume of operative upper and lower extremity fractures, periarticular injuries, and geriatric trauma and fragility fractures.
• Expand the trauma service to additional sites within the system.
• Contribute to the growing pelvic and acetabular fracture program and the unique nonunion and limb deformity program.
• Share call responsibilities, averaging one day per week.
• Add to the educational mission by teaching medical students and Orthopaedic residents.
• Engage in meaningful research activities.

Requirements

• Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery and Fellowship Training.
• A NY State Medical License or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and experience in orthopedic trauma surgery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
