Outsourced Accounting Manager
Overview
BerryDunn is seeking a Manager to join our Outsourced Accounting Practice Group. This position is planned to sit out of our New Haven, CT office.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties such as Controller-to-go services which include maintaining the full general ledger, journal entries, budgets, and client consulting.
- Perform accounting software implementations, providing ongoing accounting software support, assist clients with developing and maintaining internal procedures/processes.
- Help oversee and review staff work on related jobs.
- Lead team members to ensure we complete project components and assignment tasks.
- Perform duties at a Controller level for clients on an on-going basis.
- Maintain expertise of accounting software, trends, technology to be able to train internal team and external clients.
- Develop and communicate recommendations for business and process improvements.
- Actively participate in meetings as a key member of the outsourced accounting team.
- Assist principals and senior management on proposals and business development calls.
- Supervise, train, and mentor seniors, staff and interns on outsourced accounting and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews.
Requirements
- Minimum BA/BS degree in Accounting
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience
- An excellent understanding of accounting concepts and business acumen
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment
- Ability to pick up new technology and software quickly
- Team player with a positive approach
- Creative problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives
- Utilize knowledge on engagements to gain a deep understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives

Pay
The base salary range targeted for this role is $95,000 - $110,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
Schedule
This role requires minimal travel, less than 10% per year.
