About the role
The Outside Wholesale Salesperson promotes and manages wholesale accounts to meet dealership sales objectives, supporting key accounts to sell products while increasing sales and dealership market share.
Responsibilities
- Promote and manage wholesale customer relationships to sell products and increase sales and market share within the dealership market.
- Maintain key customer accounts through routine follow-up and communication of customer sales opportunities and incentives.
- Prospect and follow up on field leads to determine wholesale account needs.
- Visit customer offices and job sites to assess customer needs, develop and maintain strong relationships, and generate and close sales.
- Process purchase orders, bids, and required information.
- Monitor area competition to maintain competitive advantage.
- Work with customers on payment status to facilitate payment of all accounts receivable.
- Achieve personal monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.
- Stay informed of incoming parts inventory, features, accessories, and how they benefit customers.
- Complete sales itineraries and travel reports to inform the Parts Manager of wholesale parts sales efforts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the parts sales process.
- Resolve customer complaints and inform supervisor of customer issues.
- Assist with in-store duties (counter sales, inventory) as needed.
- Maintain professional personal appearance.
- Complete required training assigned through the company training portal.
- Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule.
- Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive Group brand.
- Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- General automotive parts knowledge.
- Ability to sell a minimum product quota according to dealership standards.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
Skills
- Mopar experience a plus.
- 2+ years of experience preferred.
- Excellent earning potential based on experience.
