Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to greet and direct guests to resort amenities and assist with loading and unloading their golf bags.

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as a minimum.
  • Students currently enrolled in High School who are working part time while attending school are an exception.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle; maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs per company guidelines; follow safe, defensive driving practices, obey all traffic laws and signals, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies including the Substance Abuse Policy; never drive while impaired; report accidents immediately and cooperate with insurance investigations.
  • Greet and direct guests and members to resort amenities.
  • Retrieve and load golf bags for play.
  • Clean clubs and transport clubs to storage area upon completion of play.
  • Maintain a visible presence at bag drop.
  • Perform assigned cleaning duties.
  • Assist Golf Professionals with staging for corporate group outings.
  • Assist guests with transportation needs.
  • Unload and load guests’/members’ golf bags and shoes.
  • Assist with directions upon departure.
  • Transport bags to and from Club Storage and special event staging area.
  • Inspect and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Set up and break down driving range.
  • Pick driving range.
  • Wash golf carts and detail and perform routine maintenance on golf carts.
  • Wash range balls.
  • Cross train in other areas when requested by supervisor.
  • Complete CPR and AED training and recertification every two years (training provided by the Resort).
  • Remain aware of surroundings in a golf environment; react to errant golf balls; follow proper golf etiquette while completing tasks.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to endure extended periods of standing and walking. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Pinehurst, LLC reserves the right to transfer any employee from his/her current job assignment or location to another job assignment or location as needed, either on a temporary or regular basis.
