OUTSIDE SALES RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Qualify potential leads and distribute prospects to the sales team
- Support marketing planning and strategy execution, including documenting campaign results
- Maintain detailed records of interactions with prospects and communicate updates to the sales team
- Apply analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues as they arise
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales teams
- Assist engineers with design, prototyping, assembly, and fabrication of new and existing products
- Visit farm sites to inspect customer equipment and develop repair or service plans
- Occasionally perform equipment repairs at customer job sites
- Support operations across a territory covering Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, and others
OUTSIDE SALES QUALIFICATIONS
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
- The ability to communicate company information professionally and positively to prospective clients
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professional composure
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to change
- Experience working with diverse customers and environments
- Technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Comfortable using computers and digital tools for various tasks
- Proactive, hardworking, and capable of handling uncertainty and taking initiative
- Physically capable of lifting at least 40 lbs
- Willingness and ability to travel 40–60% of the time
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional character
- Farming or mechanical background or experience in the farming industry preferred
