Outside Sales Representative - San Antonio, TX

About the role

VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation are seeking an Outside Sales Representative based in San Antonio, TX to drive sales growth in the region. This position requires a strong customer service orientation, effective communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

• Create customer quotes and sales orders for our product and services offerings (Inside Sales support staff available for support)
• Possess a proactive approach to prospecting, developing, strengthening, and maintaining relationships with customers
• Collaborate with senior management to manage and develop relationships with target customers
• Utilize ERP and CRM systems to maintain communication records, create quotes, and convert quotes to sales orders
• Manage and execute key sales initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction
• Learn and incorporate new products, service capabilities, sales tactics, tools, and processes
• Achieve and exceed sales targets while managing customer expectations
• Assist in marketing efforts
• Attend training to expand knowledge of offered products

Requirements

• Proven outside sales success with 3+ years of experience (Technical sales preferred)
• Proven success at securing new accounts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Highly self-motivated and disciplined
• Team player
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to travel out of town and/or overnight

Qualifications

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening requirements including background check, MVR and drug screen
• Experience working with an ERP and CRM system
• Experience in oil and gas industry, specifically automation and measurement
• Background of proven technical competence
