Responsibilities
- Generate new business through door-to-door prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, and community outreach
- Conduct in-home and onsite consultations with homeowners and small commercial customers
- Evaluate customer needs and present appropriate services, pricing, financing options, and project timelines
- Manage opportunities from first contact through proposal, follow-up, negotiation, and signed agreement
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate customer records in the CRM
- Cook up coordination with estimating, operations, and project teams to ensure a smooth handoff after the sale
- Build repeat and referral business through strong communication and follow-through
Requirements
- 3+ years of high-ticket sales experience in solar, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, construction, contractor services, or a related field
- Proven ability to generate leads and build a sales pipeline through personal prospecting
- Direct experience selling to homeowners or small commercial customers
- Demonstrated success presenting proposals, overcoming objections, and closing signed contracts
- Comfortable with door-to-door sales, cold outreach, networking, and referral generation
- Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and follow-up skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working toward measurable sales and revenue goals
- Able to manage multiple active opportunities without heavy supervision
