Outside Sales Representative

About the role

We're hiring an Outside Sales Representative for our Western PA, Eastern OH, and Northern West Virginia market area. SealMaster is a global leader in asphalt pavement maintenance, aiming to be the customer's first choice in pavement products and equipment.

Primary Function

Obtain new business by establishing and maintaining effective contact with potential buyers while strengthening relationships with existing customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify viable leads and acquire new business to meet revenue goals
• Consistently prospect and perform cold calls
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations
• Follow up with decision-makers and close sales
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts
• Deliver accurate, timely quotes
• Maintain thorough knowledge of SealMaster's products, services, and pricing
• Promote all product lines including pavement sealer, sports surfacing, maintenance equipment, tools, rentals, and repair services
• Participate in trade shows, marketing events, and industry functions
• Travel daily (7am-5pm, Monday-Friday) with approximately 30 overnights per year

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience

• Educational and experience requirements include: High School diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Sales or related field) but not required. Minimum 2 years of outside sales or cold-calling experience with proven results.
• Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs consistently.
• Must be capable of, and comfortable with, utilizing hand tools and working in field environments.
