Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of commercial and residential accounts through networking, prospecting, and CRM-driven outreach.
- Lead efforts to grow the company’s commercial business by identifying opportunities, creating tailored solutions, and establishing long-term partnerships.
- Communicate with customers to understand their business challenges, presenting products and services that address their specific needs.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of the company’s offerings, providing consultative guidance to decision-makers and influencers.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and effectively, serving as the primary point of contact for escalations within the commercial segment.
- Utilize CRM systems to document interactions, track opportunities, monitor account activity, and ensure timely follow-up with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including calls, orders, opportunities, pipeline updates, and forecasts within CRM.
- Provide territory and commercial business sales forecasts to management, supported by CRM data and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, customer service) to deliver seamless solutions for clients and share CRM insights to align strategies.
- Mentor junior sales staff as needed, sharing best practices for prospecting, negotiation, CRM utilization, and client relationship management.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence strategy and execution in the commercial sector.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of successfully growing and managing commercial accounts.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) to manage pipelines, track client interactions, and generate performance reports.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field preferred; OR at least five years of outside sales experience, with demonstrated success in commercial business development and CRM utilization.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to travel.
