CERTEX USA is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Little Rock, AR.
About the role
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new client opportunities, expanding existing customer opportunities, and achieving maximum sales profitability within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and related services. This role involves educating prospects through face-to-face visits, calls, trainings, and presentations, as well as providing exceptional support to existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Generate leads, build relationships, and secure appointments within a defined selling territory and target markets to drive confirmed orders/contracts.
- Represent the company’s services by deeply understanding solutions, identifying customer challenges, and providing tailored solutions.
- Maximize referral networks through participation in industry events and organizations.
- Monitor market trends, selling techniques, competitor information, and industry standards through independent research and company-provided resources.
- Provide excellent response times to customer inquiries.
- Prepare and issue quotes, submit orders through internal systems, and follow up with customers post-delivery to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain records of contacts, visits, calls, and meetings on company sales reports.
- Provide input to management for the development of sales targets for the market segment/territory.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to complete customer order fulfillment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (Associate degree preferred).
- 3+ years of successful outside sales experience; industrial sales experience strongly preferred.
- Results-driven with a demonstrated ability to meet sales objectives.
- Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of the industry and industry trends.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychology.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
- Ability to establish and expand relationships with key executives and decision-makers.
- Persistent, energetic, and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Available for local travel.
- Prior experience in wire rope fabrication, construction, equipment, or tool industry is preferred.
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background check.
- Provide valid I-9 documentation.
- Professional and courteous attitude; punctuality is required.
- Willingness to travel to work sites or training as required and work overtime when necessary.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures, including the company’s “Stop Work” policy.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed.
- Ability to work in a team environment and assist coworkers as needed.

Working Conditions
- Heavy travel by car to client locations within a defined region/territory.
- Office work for reporting, meetings, and administrative tasks.
- Routine use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets).
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Minimal travel outside the assigned territory.
- Exposure to varied temperatures, dust, and loud noises in warehouse facilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods.
- Work may involve sitting, standing, and/or walking.
- Effective communication using speech and hearing.
- Use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation (e.g., operating computer equipment).
- Occasional bending, squatting, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Vision abilities: distance vision, close vision, color vision, and ability to focus.

Pay
$46K - $48K annually plus commission.
