Responsibilities

  • Lead sales activities to maximize sales growth, margin targets, market share, and overall company objectives.
  • Show strong sales leadership with solid business acumen.
  • Develop strong business relationships through face to face sales calls and relationship building activities.
  • Cultivate customers in this new area of business.
  • Determine what motivates each customer to purchase and respond accordingly.
  • Implement and execute sales growth strategies that are consistent with the company’s strategic plans.
  • Develop a culture of creativity in approach to business development.
  • Work with Branch Manager to develop and execute sales growth strategies.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) or work equivalent.
  • 2 plus years of experience in sales.
  • Internet Research.
  • Ability to use software to create presentations, word documents, and spreadsheets.
  • Successful track record of selling in the building materials industry and home center/hardware stores preferred.
  • Fence or building materials industry experience desired.
  • Able to travel overnight as needed.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Requirements

This position requires one or two days a week working from the branch office making outbound calls, creating quotes and orders, assisting customers, and completing day-to-day administrative tasks. The majority of the time will be spent in the field meeting with existing and potential customers.
