Outside Sales Person

About the role

Sid Harvey’s, an HVAC wholesale distributor of heating, cooling and refrigeration equipment and products, is seeking a full-time HVAC Outside Sales Person for its Appleton, WI location.

Responsibilities

• Improve the growth of sales.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously.
• Generate sales through excellent customer service, add-on and up-selling.
• Perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner, while representing Sid Harvey’s in a professional manner.
• Responsible for growing sales.
• Responsible for maintaining customer profiles and other data on the salesperson’s account.
• Responsible for completing all Customer Relationship Management Forms.
• Responsible for monthly growth of gross profit dollars as compared to prior year performance for assigned accounts.
• Provide constant competitive feedback to the Regional Sales Manager or Territory Manager.
• Keep Manager informed about customer relationships, results of sales calls, new accounts and competition activities.
• Present Professional Sales Presentations.
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
• Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Sid Harvey products (i.e. Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating) to meet customer’s needs.
• Update and maintain customer’s pricing files.
• Continuous cold calling to build new business.
• Continuously update product knowledge through any available resources.
• Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability.
• Know location of merchandise in warehouse.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety rules.
• Inform Regional Manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
• Assist in year-end physical inventories as requested.
• Perform other responsibilities as directed.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license and 3 years of safe driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass drug test, credit and background search.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; carry and/or reach.
• The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 lbs.
• The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 100 lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processing, etc.
• The employee is regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic in performing daily tasks.

Education

• High School Graduate or equivalency diploma required.
