Outside Sales Person

About the role

Establish initial contact with prospective customers and take responsibility for identifying and developing new business opportunities. Develop and maintain customer contacts, solicit opportunities for additional company involvement, and provide follow-up contacts to ensure customer satisfaction and offer technical and product capability advice. Routinely solicit new business opportunities to expand company involvement at customer locations.

This is a safety-sensitive position; the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative. Candidates offered employment must undergo a pre-employment drug test screening for amphetamines, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamines, opiates, oxycodone, and phencyclidines, following cutoff levels set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Requirements

• Industry and territory knowledge required for maximum potential.
• Ability to manage well-established existing customer relationships and prospect for future opportunities.
• College courses in sales, marketing, or business administration preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, personable, and extroverted personality.
• Well-organized and able to operate an automobile.
