Great industry to be a part of! At Hughes Machinery Company, we provide extensive engineering services for boiler and heat transfer, steam production for commercial, industrial, and utility projects.
Responsibilities
- Grow your territory by bringing in new opportunities and developing repeat business within your existing accounts.
- Call on engineers, contractors, project managers, and others to determine their needs and specifications through a consultative approach.
- Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by discovering new opportunities.
- Grow your network of engineers and contractors in your assigned territory.
- Sell engineered heating/hot water systems within the industrial sector.
- Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
- Organize and conduct product training sessions for customers.
Requirements
- Experience with boiler, steam, water heating, and thermal transfer systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of steam-related valves, traps, pumps, controls, instrumentation.
- Proven ability to work with engineers and contractors to identify solutions for project requirements.
- Hands-on involvement installing/commissioning steam boilers and water heaters is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
