Responsibilities

• Travel within assigned territory to meet with potential and current customers, negotiate sales deals, and provide information about new products, updates, services, and training.
• Primary focus on Young Supply Company residential and light commercial products.
• Learn YSC system processes within Branch Managers/Counter, including warranty processes, delivery schedules, credit returns, and non-stock ordering.
• Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
• Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; suggest products and services to meet those needs.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve any post-sale issues.
• Prepare estimates, quotes, product proposals, and cost-benefit analyses as needed.
• Maintain communication with existing and previous customers regarding new products, services, and enhancements.
• Interface with other Young Supply Company team members to ensure all customer expectations and requests are met.
• Maintain detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
• Increase sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and potential clients.
• Comply with Federal, State, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Areas of Responsibility: Traverse City, South to Ludington, East to 127, North to 32, East to Alpena, North to Sault St. Marie, West to 117, North to Paradise.

Requirements

• Degree in HVAC, Business, Marketing, Technical College, or equivalent HVAC-related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC sales/account management, HVAC field service, or related field.
• Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive issues at once and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to lift 15 pounds at times.
• Valid Driver License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC equipment sizing, line sizing, and load calculations.
• Experience working with trades/HVAC contractors and dealers in residential/commercial markets.
• Knowledge of an HVAC distribution environment.
• Ability to understand building layouts and mechanical schedules.
• Desire to learn new products and offerings in various HVAC fields.
• Knowledge of A2L refrigerant and mitigation.
• Confidence in leading multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work well in high-paced situations.
