About the Role
Pre-Arrangement Advisors generate sales through company-provided leads from multiple channels, focusing primarily on in-person meetings with families and preplanning seminars. Remote sales are also supported with company-provided telecommunication platforms.
Responsibilities
- Convert company-provided leads into sales.
- Maintain a network of customers from company-provided leads.
- Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
- Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; suggest products and services to meet those needs.
- Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services based on customer needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve post-sale issues.
- Use SalesForce or applicable CRM system daily.
- Attend daily, weekly, or monthly calls, training, call blocks, and floor time in the office or home.
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly sales and appointments to the Sales Manager.
- Comply with industry compliance during the entire sales process.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Appropriate Funeral Director License in specific states (if required).
- Complete PAA Curriculum Certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- 2-5 years of Business to Consumer, Inside Homes/Remote Sales experience (preferred but not required).
- 1-2 years of industry experience (preferred but not required).
- 3-5 years of transferable experience.

Work Conditions
- Work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions.
- Limited local and/or multiple-location travel, including customer homes and local businesses.
- Business casual attire required when in contact with customers.
- Frequent, continuous periods of standing; sitting for extended hours.
- May require climbing stairs to access buildings frequently.
- Physical effort includes paperwork, calculators, computers, iPads, and phone usage.
- Move, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Driving to and from appointments.
- Varied work hours depending on customer needs; local travel distance varies by market.
