Sells and promotes Würth/MSM (Northern Safety's) catalog products, generating new business while servicing the existing customer base within a defined sales territory.
Responsibilities
- Travel the defined territory to grow business through direct face-to-face contact with customers.
- Build customer relationships using consultative selling techniques, soliciting orders, and communicating via phone and virtual meetings.
- Collaborate with customer service and branch locations to develop new business.
- Work with inside sales representatives to facilitate customer orders, delivery schedules, and pricing information.
- Quote prices on products and determine customer eligibility for volume purchase programs.
- Monitor customer purchases using monthly reports.
- Follow up on samples or catalogs issued to prospective or existing customers.
- Work with Product Trainer to stay informed about product applications and developments.
- Meet territory reporting deadlines and gather competitive intelligence.
- Record activities and opportunities in CRM daily.
- Provide customer feedback and serve as a resource for all current sales channels.
- Plan and organize sales strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college; one to three years of selling experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid and clean state driver’s license.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with associates and managers.
- Self-starter with the ability to work objectively and assertively.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company-related issues and materials.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from team leaders, managers, associates, and customers.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
- Ability to handle problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay
$70,000/year + commission. Pay is based on factors such as labor markets, education, skills, work experience, and certifications. Eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on organizational performance.
