Outside Plant Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Install aerial and buried fiber drops from distribution case to customer premises
• Perform customer installs, including ONT/Router setup, testing, and activation
• Conduct troubleshooting and repair of fiber service issues
• Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and customers professionally
• Document work completed and inventory

Qualifications

• Experience in fiber installation, telecom, or utility work preferred
• Ability to work at heights with ladders and bucket trucks or off hooks
• Comfortable with working in all weather conditions
• Valid drivers license
• Basic understanding of hand tools and construction practices
• Willingness to learn with on-the-job training

Work Environment

• Field-based (residential streets, poles, easements, and customer homes)
• Combination of aerial and underground work
• On-Call is required
• Fast-paced, production-based environment with high quality expectations

Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour based on experience
