About the role

The Outside Plant (OSP) Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of outside plant telecommunications projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans for OSP construction and upgrades.
  • Supervise field crews and subcontractors during installation of fiber cables, underground conduits, and aerial infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Inspect completed work to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, expenses, and changes, and provide updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Proficiency with project management software and GIS systems.
  • Experience with fiber optic networks, splicing, testing, and construction standards.
  • Strategic development, critical thinking, adaptability, and execution skills.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and team leadership abilities.
  • Ability to make critical decisions with minimal input.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSP engineering experience.
  • Start-up experience.
  • Experience with 3GIS and/or ESRI.

Travel requirement: 25%.

Pay

Expected salary range: $105,000 – $165,000 base salary plus discretionary bonus.
