Outside Operator

Main Function

Responsible for the operating conditions and the operations portion of the plant facility. Observes and operates process equipment in a safe and smooth manner. Implements and follows plant procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Captures flow of carbon black on pelletizing units by following procedure.
• Performs routine maintenance to keep the facility operational.
• Collects quality control samples for processing by the Quality Lab.
• Maintains safety and environmental rules.
• Ensures proper gauging of storage tanks.
• Conserves production resources.
• Monitors and troubleshoots process equipment.
• Performs housekeeping.
• Assists with improved quality and efficiencies in the Production Department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Familiarity with industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, and associated tools is a plus.
• Twelve (12) months of related experience in a manufacturing facility preferred.
