Outside Loan Originator

About the Role

AnnieMac Home Mortgage is seeking Full Time External Mortgage Loan Originators to establish and nurture referral source relationships, ensuring a steady flow of loan volume from real estate brokers and other external sources. This role operates under the direct supervision of the Branch Manager and focuses primarily on outside sales.

Responsibilities

• Sell mortgage loans to customers outside of AnnieMac Home Mortgage’s places of business; office work is related and supplemental to outside sales.
• Generate new business by building and maintaining relationships with realtors, real estate agents, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, CPAs, and other relevant professionals.
• Regularly participate in mortgage sales activities, including attending closings and open houses, and conducting seminars and other lead-generating events.
• Collect and complete loan applications from borrowers.
• Develop and sustain relationships with referral partners, such as realtors, to generate new customer leads.
• Analyze prospective borrowers' income and debt to pre-qualify them and determine the maximum mortgage they can afford.
• Counsel prospective borrowers on the home buying and financing process, including advising on different loan products and demonstrating how closing costs and monthly payments vary.
• Collect financial documents (e.g., tax returns, bank statements) required for the application process.
• Provide required disclosures to borrowers, including Truth in Lending and Good Faith Estimates.
• Counsel and advise borrowers on understanding and resolving credit issues.
• Maintain regular contact with borrowers, realtors, and lenders between application and closing to update status and gather additional information as needed.
• Order legal documents and review HUD statements prior to closing.

Requirements

Candidates should have experience directly related to the mortgage industry.
