Outreach - Student Library Assistant (Fall)
Position Introduction
The Outreach Student Assistant for the User Services Team will assist in supporting OU Libraries' events and programming, enhancing library engagement with the campus community. This role offers valuable experience working with library staff and faculty, and connecting customers to OU Libraries' resources and services.
About the role
The position is open to those who enjoy event planning, creating a healthy environment for others, working well with Bizzell users, and being part of a team. Candidates should demonstrate dependability, reliability, and accountability, and have good interpersonal communication skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving and familiarity with technology are also essential.
Required Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma.
- Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

- A strong service orientation and ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse environment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Proactive in seeking out and finding appropriate solutions for problems.

Pay
Targeted salary of $10/hour, based on education and experience.
Schedule
Supervisor will work with student employee to find a work schedule that fits around their class schedule.
