Outreach Athletic Trainer - Morrisville Middle/Senior High School

About the role

The Athletic Trainer will provide services to Morrisville Middle/Senior High School under the supervision of JAG Athletic Training Services.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an effective athletic training program for the contracted JAG Athletic Training organization.
• Provide AT services for athletic events and competition.
• Create and maintain a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
• Coordinate, manage, and implement the medical and risk management of all athletes, inclusive of preventative care, emergency care, and maintaining health records.
• Create and maintain a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
• Provide in-services and educational programs to local schools, coaches, athletes, and communities on health & fitness related topics.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and others involved in the care plan.
• Collaborate with other JAG professionals in programs such as Physical Therapy and physician-related services.
• Oversee the ordering of AT supplies and equipment and maintain an up-to-date inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE Approved program).
• Completion of the BOC certification.
• Maintain the BOC-required 50 CEU’s per certification period (every two years).
• Licensed by the State of Pennsylvania as an Athletic Trainer.
• Current BLS certification.
• Maintain Personal Liability Insurance.
