Outreach Ambassador and Mascot

About the role

As an Outreach Ambassador & Mascot, you will play a crucial role in promoting HealthPartners’ mission within the community. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with diverse community members and organizations to promote HealthPartners’ key Community Health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Engage with diverse community members and organizations to promote HealthPartners’ key Community Health initiatives.
• Represent HealthPartners at various events, conduct outreach activities, and collaborate with internal teams to support our outreach strategies.
• Become the PowerUp mascot, Chomp, bringing energy and enthusiasm to a variety of events and appearances.
• Perform in a costume as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be age 18 or older and have at least 1 year of driving experience, must have a valid driver’s license and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines.
• Must be friendly, energetic, and enthusiastic with a passion for engaging with people.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings & weekends, depending on event schedules.
• Cultural humility, and a commitment to and understanding of issues of diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and be very physically active loading, unloading and delivering materials to community partners and assisting with event set up and tear down.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant outreach experience with community outreach/events, health promotion and/or community health.
• Experience working in a community-based setting.
• Experience performing as a mascot or in a similar entertainment role.
