Sierra Tucson is seeking a Full-Time experienced Independently Licensed Professional to work Monday – Friday at two campuses: Sierra Tucson (39580 S. Lago Del Oro Pkwy, Tucson, AZ 85739) and Sierra on Campus - The University of Arizona (1051 E Mabel St). Availability at Sierra on Campus is Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11am-7pm.

About the Role

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Sierra Tucson is similar to the Partial Hospitalization Program but meets less frequently, offering clients flexibility to manage daily schedules while receiving treatment. The Sierra on Campus IOP is a collaborative initiative with the University of Arizona, providing in-depth mental healthcare directly on campus for students dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use.

Responsibilities

  • Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to treat diagnosed emotional and mental disorders for individuals and families.
  • Conduct individual, group, or family therapy as appropriate for patient treatment plans.
  • Perform psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
  • Provide initial treatment planning based on assessments, coordinate additional services, and revise plans as necessary.
  • Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards.
  • Manage an assigned caseload and participate in treatment team meetings to facilitate patient services.
  • Provide case management, discharge planning, or after-care planning according to treatment plans.
  • Educate and train staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention as needed.
  • Coordinate clinical, psychosocial, or educational activities with patients and their families.
  • Evaluate patient needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are required.
  • Assist in training new clinical staff and interns, and coordinate activities of clinical and direct patient care personnel.
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward patients and resolve complaints when needs are not met.
  • Prioritize patient safety at all times.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or another therapeutic field.
  • Eight or more years of experience as a therapist, with at least six years working with the facility’s specific population.
  • State or national licensure for professional therapy providers.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).
  • First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.
