About the role
Inova Children's Multispecialty is seeking a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Pediatric and Adolescent OBGYN team.
Responsibilities
- Prior authorization
- Medication refills
- In-basket management
- Injections
- Patient education
- Provide safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or outpatient setting
- Incorporate differences into care while integrating knowledge, skills and experience to meet patient and family needs, including patient and family education
- Achieve desired patient outcomes using an integrated approach
- Incorporate data and information to improve care and enhance outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings
- Provide direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor
- Ensure efficiency in the delivery of care
- Determine immediate priorities and offer solutions for problems
- Work with the team to achieve maximum productivity
- Make independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Associate's Degree in Nursing (if ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date)
- Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- Experience: BSN from an accredited school of nursing (if ADN, must complete BSN within 5 years of start date)
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association
Qualifications
- Preferred: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
