About the Role
The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level nursing role within the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for delivering and coordinating patient care in a hemodialysis setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
- Administer medications, monitor treatment, and document patient data.
- Provide patient and family education on treatment options and care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, participate in quality improvement, and assist in staff training.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist with emergency response and laboratory procedures.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to care staff and supervise as designated.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with current licensure.
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience; dialysis experience preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work in a healthcare environment.
- Previous experience in chronic or acute hemodialysis is advantageous.
Additional Details
The role involves physical tasks, teamwork, and may require travel. Supervision may be provided after meeting experience and training requirements.
